Apparently it wasn't enough to pass Prop. 8 in Cali. Now they want to go back and invalidate the 18k+ same-sex marriages that took place before the proposition passed.
So it wasn't bad enough to take away people's rights -- now you want to nullify their marriages too? Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought Brown v. Board of Education
settled that whole "separate but equal" question back in the fifties. So no, civil unions are NOT ENOUGH.
SOMEONE PLEASE EXPLAIN TO MY DUMB ASS HOW TWO PEOPLE OF THE SAME GENDER GETTING HITCHED IS A THREAT TO ANY STRAIGHT PERSON'S MARRIAGE.
Go on, I'll wait.
Equal rights for everybody, period. Anything less than that is morally bankrupt.
