One of the designers (who used to be the manager here, but now he's got some other hoity-toity title) complained to me today that the tar is coming up (off the recently resurfaced parking lot outside) and "tracking". Which I take to mean, it's sticking to his shoes and pissing him off. I see no tar being tracked inside the showroom, so I fail to see how this is my problem.

"Well, we should probably make a note of it, and let Lee know," he tells me. Translation: YOU should ask Lee about it.

So I made a note. A post-it note, specifically. Yes, I am passing the buck to the dayside girl, who is far more likely to see Lee than I am, because I frankly don't feel like getting into it with the owner over whether or not the tar is staying put in the parking lot.

Oh, and by the way? *checks soles of own shoes* The problem appears to be rather, ah, limited in scale.

This is the same guy who (as he was leaving today) made like he was going to throw a bottle of water at me from across the showroom, which earned him a sharp "do NOT throw crap at me." I'm just NOT in the mood for second grade today.

Gods, whatever.
