So, AOL Radio has posted the 111 wussiest songs of all time. My favorite review ...

2. 'Sometimes When We Touch'
Dan Hill (1997)
It doesn't get much softer than this soft-rock classic from a Torontonian who barely got it up for one more Top 40 hit a decade later. He wants to cuddle his beloved "til the fear in me subsides." By the sound of things, that could be awhile.

BWAH!! Link is here.

Hat tip: WTF is it now??

I've heard most of these songs, so I concur with the wuss factor. But c'mon, no Whitney Houston?!? My favorite review:
83. 'You're the Inspiration'
Chicago (1984)
If you entered "inspiration," "end of time," "heart & soul," "love" and "wussy" into an auto-song generator, this is the song it would spit out. Peter Cetera and co. were so unoffensive here, it's offensive. For the Muzak version, we imagine they just stripped out the vocals.

Hee! :-D Is it so wrong that I actually like some of these songs? *cough*Annie's Song*cough*

Quick, name another Kajagoogoo song!

I concur. I also noticed a lack of Neil Diamond. How can that be?

Neil's there, #13!

I also thought 'Daydream Believer' might be written by Neil, like several other Monkees songs, but no, it was apparently written by John Stewart. I wonder if it's the same John Stewart who had a hit in 1980 or so with 'Gold' on which Stevie Nicks sang backup vocals. 'When the lights go down in the California town/People are in for the evening...'

Arrgh! You are of course correct. How'd I miss that, I wonder? Skimming too quickly, I suppose.

Glad to see Journey and Air Supply representin', though.

I actually liked some of the songs they ridiculed. Though others RICHLY deserved scorn...
