ghoulsisWell, the camera guy came out and looked in our line, and we got an estimate!
We have structural damage in our sewer line! Which means it needs to be replaced. (Just in time for my birthday, yays.) So yes, we're going to get our very own Big Dig, right in our front yard! (Yes, we'll take pictures. Why the hell not.)
All told, including what we've already spent... it's going to cost...

$5000!!!! So congrats to all you smart folks who guessed it. Here's a cookie.
I think I need a tranquilizer.
Word to the wise: if you buy a house? Ever? Call someone to run a camera down the sewer line before you close on the house. Roto-Rooter says they'll do it for $210. It would have been money well-spent, and I wish we'd known such a thing was possible before now. Oy.
