Yet in summer's grip -- for caerwynx

I mentioned to caerwynx this morning that there is beauty in the world, if one knows where to find it. So I tried to capture a bit of it in my yard today. Photos are posted over here, at casa_hendirez.

And for those of you who were interested, zippyhendirez managed to catch a photo of the possum family yesterday.


The photo's a little blurry, but mama was in a hurry. :)

I'm in love with your possums! I have a Oaxacan carving of a mom possum with her babies hanging from her tail, and I just love seeing the real thing.

Oddly enough, we see MUCH more wildlife here in the city than we did in the 'burbs in SC. Weird, huh?
