I took some photos today outside my house... I felt the first stirrings of autumn in this morning's rain, yet summer's grip remains.

An empty cicada husk hanging upside down from the branch of a maple tree

Hostas in bloom

An unopened rosebud. I can't wait to see how it looks tomorrow.

Same photo, but with auto color-correction by PSE. Not true to life, but I like the effect.

Lovely! This was a digital camera? Nice quality.

I love nature/scenic pictures. Sometimes it's just strikingly beautiful, humbling and peaceful all at the same time.

Very nice work! Someday, we'll have to look into a true macro lens for you. I think you'd enjoy it.

These are STUNNING. Particularly the cicada shell one.

Thank you for sharing! You and [livejournal.com profile] celticfeministw are both such good photographers.

ohhh! so pretty! and shiny!

i have a canon rebel which i love to death, alas, it's killing me dead because it uses film. i like film more than digital, to be honest, but it's a fortune. your camera totally wants to make me get a digital though. those pics are gorgeous! :)

Gorgeous! And ITA on the Canons. I have the original EOS Digital Rebel and use my Canon 70-210 with it, and I adore it. I save a fortune on both vacation pics and - especially - all my animal pics from the zoo. Best. Investment. Ever.
